Original pictorial blue cloth, with worn edges and corners with stain on back cover, but a VERY acceptable copy. A large, attractive volume with superb full-page chromolithograph illustrations. The text is in the original French language. This volume has the text leaves tipped onto stubs so that the spectacular plates are fully visible and the huge double-page plates are cinematic in their effect.
Gold blocked page edges. Blue cloth covers with lovely BRIGHT gilt and polychrome front cover illustration of Sun King on horse. 92 pages, frontispiece, 36 chromolithograph illustrations including 34 full-page and 2 double-page plates. Many of the illustrations overlay the text, and the leaves are all mounted on linen guards. A rare and collectable book.
